About Lifecheq
Lifecheq is a leading financial technology company that partners with distribution businesses and product providers to deliver holistic, advice-led solutions to end consumers. It operates the largest digital financial advice platform in South Africa, with over 7,000 advisers onboarded, and is currently expanding through strategic partnerships across Africa and Southeast Asia.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly capable Delivery Manager to join our fast-paced fintech environment. This role is critical in driving end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives, ensuring alignment across product managers, business stakeholders, and external partners.
You will be responsible for overseeing the execution of projects that involve adding new products to our stack, API integrations, platform enhancements, and overseeing execution on key strategic partnerships. This includes driving go-to-market strategies and coordinating legal and operational readiness.
While a formal engineering qualification is not required, a deep technical understanding — particularly of APIs, system integrations, and software development life cycles — is essential. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a scaling environment and brings both operational discipline and adaptability to dynamic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Delivery Ownership: Own and manage the delivery roadmap across one or more product squads, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals.
Cross-Squad Coordination: Manage interdependencies across squads and ensure efficient collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Project Execution: Translate the product roadmap into actionable delivery plans, implement and manage delivery frameworks, and ensure timely identification and execution of external dependencies.
Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, Legal, Compliance, DevOps, Key Account Managers and Marketing to ensure all delivery elements are aligned and ready for release.
Operational Readiness: Ensure that all legal, compliance, and operational requirements are in place prior to product go-live.
Partner Collaboration: Actively engage external business partners to ensure shared understanding of project objectives, product requirements, timelines, and technical dependencies.
Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify risks and blockers, escalating and resolving them to maintain delivery momentum.
Performance & Quality Assurance: Monitor delivery performance, ensure quality of output, and support continuous improvement across squads.
Resource & Workflow Management: Work with Product Managers and Business Stakeholders to optimise team allocation and suggest tools or processes to improve efficiency.
Delivery Reporting: Provide transparent updates on project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Metrics for Success
On-Time Delivery: Adherence to committed delivery dates and achievement of key project milestones and OKRs.
Post-Launch Stability: Ensure external partners have planned for post-launch iterations and bug fixes where necessary. Confirm that both internal stakeholders and external partners are actively monitoring product performance against defined metrics. Any issues affecting performance should be escalated and flagged as a risk to support prioritisation and timely resolution.
Stakeholder Satisfaction: Positive feedback from Product Managers and cross-functional teams on support, coordination, and delivery enablement.
Process Efficiency: Tangible improvements in operational workflows, tools, or delivery cadence.
