Position Overview:
The Internal Control Associate will serve as a key partner in safeguarding Matta’s integrity, ensuring that all business activities align with established internal policies, industry regulations, and best practices. This role is critical in identifying potential risks, optimizing processes, and fostering a compliance-first culture across the organization. The role holder must be analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented, helping to mitigate risks while enabling business continuity and growth at Matta.
Job Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor and enforce compliance with Matta’s internal policies, industry regulations, and operational guidelines across all departments.
- Conduct systematic audits and compliance assessments to identify inefficiencies, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop dynamic compliance dashboards to track performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Design and facilitate compliance training programs, ensuring employees understand their responsibilities and maintain adherence to required standards.
- Provide detailed reports on compliance status, highlighting non-conformities, potential risks, and strategic recommendations for process enhancements.
- Collaborate with department heads to address deviations, streamline workflows, and implement corrective actions to ensure full regulatory and procedural compliance.
- Stay ahead of evolving compliance requirements, ensuring Matta’s operations are aligned with legal standards and industry best practices.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation, responding to inquiries, and implementing audit recommendations effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in compliance, internal audit, risk management, or a similar role within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks relevant to the B2B, chemicals, and commodities industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis and compliance tracking tools to drive evidence-based decision-making.
- Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills to foster a compliance-driven culture.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
