About Stitch

Stitch is a payments infrastructure company on a mission to make it easier for enterprise businesses to connect to the financial system and build better experiences for their customers.

We are expanding the team to enable Stitch to broaden our product offering and extend our geographical footprint.

Role:

At the moment there is enough design work that the team is at capacity on a normal work day and under strain when a team member is on leave or if additional priority tasks are briefed in. The main task of having an additional designer (on contract) would be to take on smaller and more receptive tasks from Greg and myself so that we can give more time to strategic & conceptual work.

Tasks would include but are not limited to:

  • Rolling out social posts based on existing templates
  • Building slide decks
  • Making updates to the marketing website
  • Creating best practices and comms guides for clients based on our generic guides.
  • Taking on internal design tasks such as our monthly newsletter, other tasks may include collateral for events or swag: t-shirts, stickers, tote bags etc.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, hard-working and ambitious, with an eye for detail. While the majority of the tasks they will be responsible for will be task-based, it’s important that they understand the bigger picture and are interested in working towards achieving objectives rather than simply delivering outputs so they can grow within the team.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent working experience
  • 1-2 years (post-qualification) experience working in the digital design space. Experience in fintech is a bonus
  • Must be proficient in industry standard software, i.e. Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Experience working with motion design is preferable
  • Have a basic understanding of designing for print

Expected hours:

The candidate should be able to spend 20 hours a week on Stitch related work. To allow for flexibility for stitch as well as the contractor, It is suggested that this time be allocated by task and availability rather than a set 4 hours per day.
