Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to Day: Responsible for the execution of all daily communications to customers. You will need to work closely with the design team and the commercial planner.

  • Create automation strategies: To drive and activate various customer journeys, leveraging email, SMS, push notifications, and on-site pop-ups. Ensure best practices are implemented to maximize deliverability and redemptions.

  • Optimise and activate segmentation: Identify key customer cohorts. Continuously work to segment messaging to the right customer at the right time. Utilise a test and learn approach.

  • Drive consumer insights: Develop and implement testing roadmaps for each customer journey as well as ad hoc campaigns. Results of these tests should be shared regularly with the CRM team and deeper insights shared with the wider marketing team.

  • Evolve channels: Expand and evolve our channels, staying ahead of best practices to ensure our strategies leverage the latest platform capabilities

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

  • 3+ years of hands-on CRM experience, ideally in a B2C and/or e-commerce setting

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong executional skills

  • Experience in journey building and marketing automation

  • Strong analytical mindset; confident using data to drive decisions and strategy

  • Familiarity with CRM technology/platforms — Braze experience is a strong plus

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, highly motivated, self-starting individual.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative spirit

  • Computer literacy and solid communication skills

  • Motivated self-starter, able to work independently and within a team

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Role Outline

We’re looking for a passionate Junior CRM Specialist to join the Sweepsouth Marketing Team. You’ll be at the heart of customer communications across South Africa and Egypt, working across mailers, SMS, push notifications, and on-site messaging.

This is a B2C role focused on optimising and delivering impactful communications throughout the customer lifecycle — from onboarding and engagement to retention and reactivation.
